New KTM Models Leaked

Posted: 03 Aug 2011 10:00 PM PDT

Hey guys, Jon here again. KTM's new models for the next three years have leaked after an American dealer managed to snatch a mobile phone picture from inside a presentation.

The image shows plans through to 2014 with model highlights including an Enduro R 690 and new motocross bikes for 2012 with Duke 350, Adventure R 1090 and Super Duke R 1290 for 2013 and an intriguing sounding Moto3 350 and Enduro 350 for 2014. There is an image of what looks like a faired sportsbike and this could be the Moto3 350 machine; a kind of modern replacement for the old 250cc race replica two-strokes like the Suzuki RGV250, Honda NSR250 and Aprilia RS250.

The Adventure R 1090 could well have a bored out version of the current 990cc engine with the Super Duke R 1290 likely to have an all-new V-twin which the firm is already designing.

Also listed are a range of electric Freeride models which KTM wants to push ahead with as it sees a big future for electric off-road machines.

Be sure to voice your opinions at KTM Boards.

Cambodian Jungle Adventure

Posted: 01 Aug 2011 10:00 PM PDT

Aye what's good y'all? This is Studdly here bringing you a very interesting motorcycle documentary. It's about a group of friends riding Honda Enduro motorcycles through the Cambodian Jungle. It was winter of last year and it contains eleven minutes and forty seconds of slide riding ecstasy. So if you dig dirty water, muddy times and messy motorcycles, then go on ahead and watch the video below.

Honestly, it's hard for me to fathom doing anything near what these guys did. I can barely stand Ocean Beach's sand between my toes, let alone think about traveling through the rural jungle of Cambodia for a road thrill. Kudos to the guys with the heart to use the enduro motorcycles for what they were built for. I'm signing off but stay tuned for more updates.
